The Broncos jumped out to a quick start to the fall season with a 7 to 6 win over the BYU / Idaho Rebels. The team was lead by Cooper Thomas & Tyson Dellasilva with 2 hits a piece and 3 runs scored by the senior Broncos teammates. Ben Doran kept the Rebels off the scoreboard in his pitching debut as a Bronco, he also had a triple to help add to the run total. Game 2 with the Rebels was a complete change from the first game with the Bronco`s bats going silent in a 9 – 2 loss. The split on Saturday was a good chance to see all the new players that have joined the Broncos this fall.
Congratulations to the four Bronco`s who were selected to the All Region team. Tyson Dellasilva was selected to the 1st team as a outfielder. Blake Scherer was selected to the 2nd team at shortstop. Brian Begerow and Trevor Freese were selected to the 3rd team, Brian as the catcher and Trevor as an outfielder. See the attached Stats sheet with a complete listing of all the players selected.

The Broncos started the weekend with 10-0 rout of the Wildcats. Carson Wooten threw a 5 hit complete game. Aaron Rodabaugh lead the hitters with a 3-4, 2 RBI game. Cooper Thomas and Tyson Dellasilva each chipped in a couple hits, Cooper scored 3 runs and had a triple while Tyson drove in 2 runs with long sac flies to go with his 2 hits. Game 2 was a pitchers dual and Brian Begerow threw a great game. He only gave up 4 hits in the complete game. Defensive errors got the Broncos in the 6th inning and we let a gem of a pitching performace get away in a 2-4 loss. Sundays rubber game was a back and forth for 9 innings, with the Broncos coming out on top with the 8-7 win. Tyson Dellasilva closed the game out with a strikeout with bases loaded to collect the win. Tyson also had a good day at the plate going 2-3, with a double, 2 RBI`s, 3 walks and 2 runs scored. Blake Scherer also had a day at the plate going 2-4, 3 runs scored and 2 walks. Brian Begerow added a 2-4 game, 2 runs and a RBI. Carson Wooten came off the bench as a pitcher only to come up with two big plate apperances that produced 2 RBI`s and a Hit. Great team effort this weekend as we battled back from losing 2 key players to injury and was 1 inning away from the sweep of Weber State.
The Broncos used a 7th inning rally to erase a 3-2 deficit to defeat Wyoming 8-3 in their final game in the Mesquite tournament. Four Broncos had a multiple hit game, that was broke open in the 7th with Tyson Deliasilva`s RBI double. The Broncos sent 9 to the plate in the inning and 8 reached the bags safey. Blake Scherer`s base clearing single put the nail in the coffin for the Cowboys. Tyson then came in and closed them out with a 5 pitch inning for the save. Brian Begerow was 3-4 in the game with 4 2/3 innings of strong pitching. Trevor Freese also went 3-4 at the plate, to add to his tournament total of 7-13 with 3 walks. Great Tourney for the Broncos finishing 3-1 against some real tough competition.
